Two single mattresses that zip together into one, or come apart into two. The orthopaedic build is the point of this one — a high-count pocket spring unit tuned to hold your spine in alignment rather than let you sink where you are heaviest.

Every spring is wrapped in its own fabric pocket, so it compresses only under the weight directly above it. Across a bed this wide that matters twice over: the support follows the actual shape of each person, and movement on one side stays on that side.

Above the springs sit wool, memory foam, hypoallergenic filling and high-loft wadding, under a luxury damask cover. The tension is medium — firm enough to be genuinely supportive, without the board-like feel that puts people off orthopaedic mattresses.

Hand-tufted so the fillings stay put over the years, side-stitched at the borders for firm edges, and fitted with turning handles.
