Zip and Link Pocket Sprung 1000 Memory Foam Mattress

Two single mattresses joined by a full-length central zip. Zip them together for one continuous sleeping surface, or leave them apart for two separate beds. If you run a holiday let or a guest room that has to work as both a couple's room and a twin, this saves you owning two sets of beds.

Each half holds 1000 individually pocketed springs. Because every spring is wrapped and moves on its own, the mattress follows the shape of whoever is lying on it rather than pushing back as a single slab, and movement on one side is much less likely to travel across.

On top of the springs sits 25mm of memory foam. Memory foam softens in response to body heat and weight, so it settles around your shoulders and hips instead of holding them up. Combined with the high-loft wadding above it, the overall feel is medium — a genuine middle ground rather than firm-pretending-to-be-medium.

The cover is quilted, and the mattress is a non-turn design. That means you never have to flip it; rotating it end to end every few months is enough to keep the wear even. On a mattress this size that is a meaningful difference.
